$75 towards $200

Few things mean more to me than my family. And while every day we get up to face new, different, and often seemingly impossible challenges, it's hard for me to even put myself in the shoes of girls in a village called Kitenga in Africa.

These girls are being sold into marriage with older men at the age of 12 and 13. They go through awful custom traditions, like female genital mutilation before those marriages... Their destiny is often prewritten for them. Girls Education Collaborative is trying to give girls in this extremely rural and poor village a chance to dream.

Currently, GEC needs our help to fund the building of a road leading into the Kitenga School for Girls (a school that brings hope to many of the village girls- and is opening in January!). Join me in supporting their mission and paving a pathway to success for these deserving girls!!

My #Krazy4Kitenga challenge is: to get my makeup done by my husband, Dana, (gonna look a hot mess) and then go to Walmart! Whoever my top fundraiser is will give me a dare to do while I'm at Walmart looking like a fool with my cray cray makeup on. I will post the video to Facebook and via email for your viewing pleasure!!

My two youngest little sisters are the ages of girls GEC is helping in Kitenga. I can't imagine my baby sisters having to go through what these girls deal with on a daily basis. I also have three beautiful daughters, and I think about how I want them to know how special they truly are and that they can do anything, and I wish that for these girls in Kitenga, too. For that reason, I am all in for GEC and #Krazy4Kitenga.

$5 = 1ft of road in Kitenga Village!!!

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Girls Education Collaborative. Thank you!
